Porcelain Bridges

Dental bridges fill in a gap or row of missing teeth through a combination of a dental implant and a dental crown. Dental bridges are ideal for people with a missing tooth next to a tooth that needs a crown (usually as a result of damage or advanced tooth decay). Porcelain bridges are made to look and feel just like natural teeth—no one will know the difference. Contact Cedar Creek Dental today in Rigby to learn more about improving your smile and confidence through our porcelain bridges.

How Dental Bridges Work

Dental bridges are for people with a missing tooth next to a damaged or decayed tooth or, better yet, someone with a missing tooth with a damaged tooth on each side of it—that’s because our Rigby dental bridges actually involve three teeth: the missing tooth (or pontic) and the two adjacent teeth (the abutments).

After an impression is made on your teeth, the teeth on either side of the missing tooth are slightly reduced and shaped so that the dental bridge can be installed on them after it’s created.

In our lab, we create 2 dental crowns connected to a false tooth—this is the single product that will be installed.
